So, We'll Go No More a Roving

"So, We'll Go No More a Roving" is a poem by Lord Byron (1788–1824). It was included in a letter to Thomas Moore on February 28, 1817. Moore published the poem in 1830 as part of The Letters and Journals of Lord Byron. The poem suggestively describes how the youth of that time yearned to do something different. Byron wrote the poem at the age of twenty-nine. The piano plays a key role in addition to the choir, and its virtuosity not only serves as an accompaniment but also equally contributes to the shaping of the composition.
