Clarinetist John Blair is an arranger, performer, and educator. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, music performances with The United States Army Field Band have taken him to all of the continental US states, Puerto Rico, and internationally to Norway and Scotland. John has performed as soloist in venues ranging from arenas and concert halls to community centers and parks. As an educator, he is passionate about impacting the next generation through music and has created engaging programs for students from elementary school through university ages. As a result of these projects, he developed skills in composing and arranging to more effectively connect people to musical performances.
John received a Bachelor in Music Education degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and a Master in Clarinet Performance degree from The College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, OH.
