JOSEPH WALDEN has arranged and composed original works for bands, show choirs and various ensembles, and has also worked as a collaborating music engraver for book projects, one of which is a collection of music dated from the 18th century, prepared by Professor Emeritus, Dr. Richard Wetzel. He shared first prize for a jazz composition produced for Ohio University’s 2014 Composition Slam, and notably he also arranged a film score that featured children’s music for a live viewing of the 1933 silent film version of Alice in Wonderland, performed by the Fairfax Symphony Pops Orchestra. Mr. Walden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Alderson Broaddus University, and received his Masters of Music degree in music theory and composition from Ohio University.
