KEATON SPRINGFIELD received his Bachelor of Music degree from James Madison University and his Master of Music degree from the University of Oregon, both in the area of piano performance. Mr. Springfield’s piano studies eventually led him to the world of music composition, where he has for several years produced various original works. Notable compositions include “Be Strong,” which was commissioned and performed by the choir of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Bloomington, IN, “Piano Collections,” performed in benefit concerts sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, and “Rondo for Flute and Piano,” performed in collaboration with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra.
Keaton believes that through composition one is able to utilize their creative abilities to create works that can be shared with others, time and time again.
